5 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara 

Leave Nairobi in the morning and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the Great Rift Valley view-point and Narok town with beautiful farmland views along the way. Lunch will be had at Mara Sopa Lodge, AA Amboseli Lodge or Mara Fisi Camp. Afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. After enjoying our picnic lunch we will have more game drive before returning to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Nakuru with scenic views of Mt. Long'onot and Lake Elementaita and Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Flamingo Hill Camp will be followed by afternoon game drive Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino and black rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Leave the park and drive to Naivasha  check–in at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon you enjoy  a boat ride (optional and at extra cost) in this fresh water lake to go and see hippos and then enjoy a beautiful  evening walk on the Crescent Island Reserve. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

After breakfast enjoy Game viewing in Hell’s Gate National Park – you may opt to cycle while watching wildlife. Hell's Gate National Park is home to over 100 species of birds including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck.

You will explore the Hell's Gate Gorge on foot in the company of a resident guide. Later drive back to Nairobi where you will arrive in the afternoon.
